Quantum Xchange’s core product, Phio TX™, is the only crypto-agile network security solution today capable of making traditional data and communication networks quantum-safe. Quantum Xchange has become the first vendor in the world to make Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) commercially viable by overcoming its previous distance and delivery limitations with their initial customer Verizon. Space Capital has provided the company with an introduction to both SpaceX and Iridium to explore rapid scale-up of their QKD capabilities.
Thesis Fit
Quantum Xchange provides quantum safe communications at a global scale leveraging existing satellite networks. The company sells terrestrial QKD solutions and the Space Capital team helped demonstrate their technology is backwards compatible with the Iridium satellite network. Quantum Xchange is a great fit within our SatCom thesis, where we see terrestrial and satellite-based networks converging to deliver next generation security applications.
