2025

A group of people in business attire gathered on the Nasdaq building terrace in New York City, celebrating Space Capital’s 10th anniversary above a large blue digital billboard reading “Investing In.”

At the Nasdaq in Times Square, we celebrated 10 years of innovation at the heart of the space economy. From GPS resilience to climate tech and next-gen Earth Observation, this year highlighted the future of global infrastructure. Watch the highlights, hear from industry leaders, and see how space-based technology is transforming life on Earth.

2024

Networking event in an elegant hall with tall white columns, where attendees in business attire converse around cocktail tables during the Space Capital Summit.

At the New York Historical Society, 2024 centered on execution and a Starship-scale future. LPs, founders, and operators debated what works now: geoAI productization, on-orbit safety, and policy. Investor takeaways: SSA/STM, geoAI workflows, Starship-ready teams; execution over hype.

2023

Virtual conference held inside a futuristic dome overlooking Earth, showing avatars attending a presentation titled “Pace of change & future outlook” on a large screen with a speaker visible in a video window.

2023 pushed virtual meeting spaces to their limit with a custom-built digital moon base that hosted investors, founders, and industry leaders. This year was about execution—hire exceptionally, exploit AI to turn space-derived data into durable product advantage, and share playbooks with peers actually building—setting the tone for a tougher, more disciplined cycle ahead.

2022

Virtual reality meeting set in outer space showing avatars seated in a futuristic conference room above Earth, with a large floating screen displaying “Space Capital 2022 Trends.”

In our third year of virtual meetings, we hosted our 2022 Summit on an upgraded Space Capital station. From venture capital flows to satellite connectivity and climate tech, this year highlighted how space-based technologies are transforming industries and where investment opportunities lie.

2021

As we adapted to our new virtual lives, brought about by COVID, we built an immersive virtual space capable of hosting a large group of simultaneous investors, founders, and industry leaders. The 2021 Space Capital Summit was held on Space Capital station, in Earth orbit, and the AGM was held on our Moon base.

2020

As COVID-19 unfolded we went fully remote and 2020 was the year we discovered Zoom. The focus this year was on adaptation and resiliency as we worked to support our portfolio through unprecedented times – understanding the impact on their businesses and working through contingency scenarios.

2019

Group of engineers and visitors gathered around a workbench inspecting metallic aerospace components inside a manufacturing lab, discussing the parts’ design and functionality.

In the early years, Space Capital curated VIP tours for our investors to see firsthand what leading space companies were building. 2019 took us a mile closer to space, in Colorado, where we visited Digital Globe, Sierra Nevada Corp, Ursa Major, Altius, and CU Boulder.

2018

Group of engineers and professionals posing in front of a Virgin Galactic spacecraft inside an aerospace hangar, symbolizing innovation and collaboration in commercial spaceflight.

2018 brought us back to SoCal where we began at USC's Rocket Propulsion Lab, followed by a night of poolside moon gazing with a high-powered telescope. We toured SpaceX, NASA JPL, Vector, Boeing, and Virgin Orbit. We also spent a day in the Mojave Desert visiting Virgin Galactic, Stratolaunch and had lunch with Dick Rutan at Mojave Air and Spaceport. The grand finale brought us to Vandenberg Air Force base for a VIP viewing of ULA's final Delta II launch.

2017

Man shaking hands with NASA’s humanoid robot in a laboratory setting, symbolizing collaboration between humans and advanced robotics in space exploration.

Houston featured VIP tours of NASA facilities including the Apollo Mission Control Room, Apollo 11 Columbia capsule, ISS Flight Control Room, Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, and Robotics Facilities. Final Frontier Design facilitated a spacesuit experience where investors pressurized inside an actual commercial spacesuit. We also toured local commercial ventures including Nanoracks and Ad Astra Rocket Company.

2016

Group of people standing in front of a massive steel-frame hangar structure under a clear blue sky, likely during a site visit or aerospace facility tour.

In San Francisco we were joined by two astronauts: Space Shuttle pilot Greg Johnson and Korea's first astronaut to the ISS Soyeon Yi. The event included VIP tours of Planet Labs, Made in Space, NASA Ames, Spire, a high-altitude balloon launch with Stanford's Student Spaceflight Initiative, and special guests including Pete Worden and Steve Jurvetson. To celebrate we all shared a bottle of Ardbeg's Galileo, the first whisky experiment in space.

2015

Group of professionals gathered around a museum exhibit featuring a scorched re-entry space capsule, while a guide explains its structure and mission details.

In Seattle we toured a number of leading space companies, a Space Shuttle Trainer guided by a shuttle pilot Greg Johnson, and met with special guests including Charles Simonyi, Michael Lopez-Alegria, Peter Diamandis, and senior leaders from SpaceX and Blue Origin.
